Cradle Name of Samrat Ashoka was Bharat :

India that is Bharat is the official name of this country . Some say Bharat is mythical name of a king who once ruled Hindustan . They say Bharata was son of King Dushant and Shakuntala . Some say Bharat is ancestor of Rama . May be but Bharat was also name of Samrat Ashoka , a Cradle Name , the Native people used to keep for the new born while putting him in cradle . This name is normally given by paternal aunt at that function . Several names were kept for New Born as finding the characteristics of the new born . It was sure Askoka that is Bharat was to become a great samrat .

Remembering his cradle name Bharat Samarat Ashok built a Buddhist Stupa one of the oldest in India . Even he was called King of Bharat or Hindo before concurring Kalinga Cradle Name of Samrat Ashoka was was fondly spoken as Bharhut or Bharat . A Buddhist Stupa in MP in memory of his cradle name Bharat which is still known as Bharhut Stupa speaks for itself .

Ashoka that is Bharat is real name of this country apart from Hindo or Hindustan ( India ) now . Therefore everybody who stays in this land must call Jai Hind , Jai Bharat , Jai Ashok
